We believe in celebrating and empowering the youth in our community. Recognizing their achievements, resilience, and contributions is essential to fostering a supportive environment where young individuals can thrive.
That's why we've created the Youth Awards to honor outstanding youth who are making a positive impact in their communities, as well as adults and local businesses who are champions for youth empowerment.
Through these awards, we aim to inspire and encourage youth to continue their efforts while promoting a culture of appreciation and support for their endeavors.
Do you know a young person who deserves an award for being great? Did you know that youth who feel rewarded for making their community a better place are less likely to participate in risk behaviors?
Winthrop youth in grades 6-12 do more positive things for their community than their peers nationally yet feel significantly less rewarded for the things they do than other youth their age.
